Netflix officially touched Euphoria Pilot director Augustine Frizzell To guide long development Ronda Rousey The biographical film, and already promises to be a knockout behind the scenes.
The film is based on the best -selling memories of Rousey My fight/your struggle AND Our strugglewho co-scored with his sister Maria Burns Ortiz. Chernin Entertainment is producing and Deadline reports that Frizzell, who is a fan of Rousey and not extraneous to sports to fight, was the clear choice after an impressive tone.

What makes this project even more intriguing is the way in which Rousey’s journey in the narrative has set everything in motion. As he worked with the group of stories of WME to study the structure of the script, according to reports Rousey read dozens of scripts … then he sat and wrote his in just seven days. His agents were amazed.

There was a clear priority to bring a director for the project and, after meeting several candidates, Frizzell quickly went up to the top. The collaboration looks like a perfect solution. Frizzell already has Netflix ties, after recently directed half of the episodes of The neighborhoodsThe next series produced by Duffer Brothers (Stranger things).
This biographical movie has passed a long time. Originally set up to Paramount in 2015 after the release of my fight/your fight, the rights in the end have expired due to Shakeup in the studio. Netflix eventually collected it, with Exec Michelle EvansAccording to reports, a long -standing Rousey fan, supporting the project internally.
Now, the film will draw not only from the first book of memories of Rousey, but also Our strugglewho dives deeper into some of the most personal and difficult chapters of his life. This includes his overwhelming loss of Holly Holm, his struggles for mental health, the first signs of head injury in front of the chasm and complexity of his relationship with the coach Edmond Tarveryan.
