Superman’s Justice Gang: Cast explains why these unusual heroes actually joined the team

With James Gunn’S Superman Preparing to launch the new DC Universe in 2025, fans have been anxious to learn more about the unexpected superhero groups that join The Man of Steel on his film return.

He enters the gang of justice, a poor mix of metaumans composed of green lantern (Guy Gardner), Mister Terrific, Hawkgirl and Metamorpho.

In a recent interview with Collider, the actors behind these characters include Nathan Fillion, EDI Gathegi, Isabela MercedAND Anthony CarriganAnd they talked about why their characters actually recorded themselves for this new team, and it is not to truth, justice or any noble cause.

Fillion’s Guy Gardner is not here to save the world. He just wants a bar. Fillion said: “Business sponsorship. I think Guy Gardner has financial aspirations. He wants to open his bar.”

Of course, it does it. Gunn’s socket on Gardner is preparing to be less regarding the saving of galaxy and more lateral bustle.

The Lord Mister of Gathegi? It turns out that it is only bored. The actor said: “He is bored. It’s something to do for me while I do other things.”

The impassive delivery seems to adapt to the hyper-intelligent person, too intelligent for this world. Saving the day is just a hobby.

Merced’s Hawkgirl only needed an outlet and a certain legal protection. Merced explained: “He needed a legal reason to get his anger out. A legal way to kick a little ass.”

Sometimes you do not join a team of superheroes for camaraderie. Sometimes, it is only a management of anger approved by the court.

Carrigan’s Metamorpho? I am still waiting for the scrafs. “I’m still waiting for the contract to present himself.” Maybe he just went to the group and did not start.

Despite the wild motivations, Merced has hinted that there is a real link under the jokes: “There is a profound respect in the group, and that’s why they are so funny together”.

Gunn’s Superman Hits Theatres 11 July 2025.
