The Boys envelops filming in the last season while Eric Kripke shares the photo of the emotional set and makes fun of the end

Filming enveloped the fifth and last season of The boysand showrunner Eric Kripke He is already feeling the weight of farewell. To celebrate the opportunity, Kripke published a photo behind the scenes from the set of the Torre del Voa, in particular the iconic action room of the seven, with a wall of homelander that is impending.

“This is the last time I will be on this set,” Kripke wrote. “It will soon be demolished. It is sweet and sour, but my main sensation is gratitude. We have the best cast, the best crew, the funniest story to write and something that is impossible to predict: the right times.

“Aspects that all your career has perhaps two of those things, if you are lucky. We have all taken them. For the #theboys family: thank you, I love you all. To the fans: Thanks for looking at, I can’t wait for you to see the Grand Final. It is an envelope.”

The end of season 4 left things in a pressure cooker. Homeland, the patriotic psychopath, approached disturbing the White House as she launched a campaign to imprison anyone who protested against the overs. In the meantime, Hugie, MM, Frenchie and Kimiko were captured. Starlight is on the run and the butcher went fully.

Kripke has already suggested that the body number could be brutal. “There will probably be many deaths,” he said. “There is no guarantee of those who will survive.”

Nathan Mitchell (Black noir 2.0) Threateningly added: “There are some things that arrive in season 5 that you will not have in your Bingo card”.

Antony Starr (Homelander) has compared the rhythm of the show to a accordion: “A piece of the accordion is leaving and then this is the compression that comes back. There has been a lot of configuration in season 4 for season 5. Everything is shooting towards that climate end”.

Spoiler in front!

While comics readers know that things become very dark in the original story of Garth Ennis with the butcher who turns on himself and almost sweeping away everyone except Hughie, the show has never been a 1: 1 adaptation.

Having said that, it is sure to assume that Homelander and the butcher are making mutually insured destruction … perhaps with a touch of redemption before the curtain falls.

So here we are. The last season is blocked. The cast greeted, and everything that remains is that the fans bend and prepare for any explosive, nihilist and, hopefully, the ending of Kripke and the company have prepared.
