Sonic the Hedgehog Gare in the Magic: The Gathering Multiverse

Sonic is exchanging emerald chaos for mana crystals. Hasbro’s Magic: The Gathering A new crossover with saw is accelerating Sonic the HedgehogAnd the results are a nostalgic mashup that fans of both franchises have not seen coming, but they will surely want in their decks.

This team-up is happening through the “Secret Lair” series by Magic, which offers limited edition drops with reinvented cards and personalized art, outside the usual cycle of cards.

The new collaboration will be divided into three different falls of Hedgehog Secret Lair X Sonic, starting with Friends & Foes, which shows seven iconic characters of the Sonic universe.

According to Wizards of the Coast, “This drop presents seven new designs that give life to the incredible characters of Sonic the Hedgehog. Wizards of the Coast has combined the new drawings of cards with the original art, including some of sound artists preferred by fans who do their first work ever for Magic: The Gathering Cards.”

The set of friends and enemies includes cards for Sonic, Super State Sonic, Shadow the Hedgehog, Miles “Tails” Power, Dr. Eggman, Amy Rose and Knucks The Echidna. Whether you are running through Green Hill Zone or building the final mana curve, there is a character that corresponds to your strategy (or your personality).

Each set of cards will be available in two formats: standard ($ 29.99) and sheet ($ 39.99). Fans can take them on Magiciecretlair.com starting from 14 July at 9 in the morning. As always with the secret den, these are limited over time and will no longer be printed, therefore collectors and players will want to act quickly, just like Sonic.

This is not the first time that Magic has clouded the lines between the table worlds and video games. The sound set closely follows their recent collaboration with Square Enix in a collection of complete cards based on the Final Fantasy franchise. Magic: The Gathering continues to expand his multiverse in surprising ways and this sound crossover seems a fun, fast and suitable step.

So, whether you are touching lands or loads through loop, Sonic is about to bring some speed and style – to your next magic game.
