When the first Superman TV Spot fell, it didn’t take long before fans on social media found something to separate, in particular, a flying shot of David CorenswetThe man of steel who did not sit well with some spectators.
The flying shot is a close -up of Superman’s face while it comes out of a barrel roll to avoid some mountain rocks. The fans said that Superman’s gaze was “foolish”, while others blamed the VFX.
Now it seems James Gunn He decided to make a change.
In a television point just released, the same time of flight was clearly updated. It looks much brighter and is better composed. Capture Superman in mid -air and is undeniably a visual improvement. And yes, Gunn confirmed that he had made the exchange, although he was not exactly electrified by the original shot to begin with.
“It was a television spot and it was not a finished visual effects shot,” Gunn explained in response to the initial reinforcement. “So the part of him who flew, was a photograph of his face and him who flew. It was a photograph of a drone that flew in front of a real background. So all the pieces were real, but was incorporated into a kind of funky.”
He continued to admit that the first version was not up to his standards: “I didn’t like the shot, so it’s not even the shot in the film. Sometimes I’m quite severe when I am crossing a trailer and I look at each of the shots, but sometimes the commercials, I forget to look at it up close. So a type of made me.”
When a fan later asked him on the threads: “Hey James, why did you remove the rolling roll shot?! It was Dope Dude! It was a unique way of seeing oversses in flight”, Gunn clarified: “I didn’t remove the shot. I changed a particular grip of the shot”.
Gunn is not foreign to the involvement of the fans, and although it is not one who satisfies every socket of the internet, it is clear that it is paying attention.
It remains to be seen whether these changes will win over everyone, but suggest a director who is actively modeling his vision for the film, with one eye to the fans and the other on the final cut.
