Mr. Fantastic could be the real successor of Tony Stark of the MCU

Since Tony Stark took Thanos and left the MCU Avengers: endgameMarvel Studios was looking for a huge iron -shaped void. Of course, they played with the idea that it fills it with other characters such as War Machine, Doctor Strange and Ironheart, but none of them have clicked in place. They transported pieces of inheritance of Stark, but not his weight.

Because Tony Stark was not just a genius or a billionaire in fresh dress. He was anxious, brilliant, guided by guilt and often worsens things in the name of improving them. It was the imperfect engine that fed the Avengers.

Now, Marvel could finally find the boy who can bring that emotional and intellectual cloak. Pedro PascalReed Richards is positioned not only as a leader of the Fantastic Four, but as a basic figure in the next chapter of the MCU.

Director Matt Shakman Recently called Empire Magazine:

“There is a very brain Reed Richards, and then there is the hero of action, the leader, the husband, the father, the friend. I knew that Pedro could do all this …”

But it is Pascal’s reading on the character who really looks like Stark’s transfer:

“It makes the ultimate version of catastrophisation – a brain that has an overview of threats on a mathematical level, but also being emotionally available. It was a fascinating contradiction.”

That catasturrent word may also have been engraved on the Stark arched reactor. Stark did not create ultron because he was confident. He did it because he was afraid. He supported Sokovia agreements for fear of what uncontrolled power could do. It was prepared for threats that had not yet materialized. Each dress, every update, every decision has been guided by panic and fault.

Now we have Reed Richards, such an intelligent man who can see the end before he begins, but still able to be emotionally canceled by it. It’s like Tony 2.0.

Reed, like Tony, is not perfect. He is someone who will cast badly, who will pass, who will think he is the only one who sees the complete picture and act on that belief. And just like Stark, this will make it both dangerous and necessary. Because the MCU does not only need a brain or leader. He needs a character whose inner world hurts in ways that push the story forward.

If Fantastic Four: first steps Attack the landing, so Reed Richards will not only guide the first family. He will fill Tony’s shoes.
