The first trailer was released for the mysterious/dark comedy Atrabiouswhich is directed, written and produced by William Atticus Parker (Forty squeezing). The neo-noir are the stars Leon Addison Brown (The Knick) ,, Whoopi Goldberg (Sister act) ,, Alec Baldwin (Glengarry Glen Ross) ,, Jeffrey Wright (The Batman) ,, Mark Boone Junior (Children of anarchy) AND Evan Jonigkeit (The night house).
Set to a gritty background of Brooklyn, Atrabious Steven Joyner (Brown) follows while he undertakes a heartbreaking search to discover the truth behind the sudden and suspicious death of his son. His research brings him to the enigmatic bar, atracious, where secret secrets and a dark past, tangled, come slowly to light.
Parker, son of Billy Crudup and Mary-Louise Parker, did his feature film by directing with his debut with Forty squeezing.
It looks like a rather strange film, and the trailer does not give us much to do, but it is something original and the cast is quite fantastic! Take a look at the trailer below and stay tuned for updates on the release of the film.
