Hulu shared a teaser trailer for an interesting new Horror Thiller The man in my basementwhich stars Willem Dafoe.
The story is set in the African American district of Sag Harbor, New York, “Charles Blakey (Corey Hawkins) It is made without work, fortunately and on the verge of foreclosure in his ancestral home.
“A knocking on the door of a mysterious businessman, Anniston Bennet (Dafoe), brings a bizarre and profitable proposal; rent his dusty basement for the summer and receive enough money to cancel his debts forever.
“Once Charles accepts, he finds himself guiding a terrifying path that confronts his family’s ghosts and blocks men in a terrifying enigma, at the center of the race, the source of their traumas and the root of all evil.”
It looks like an exceptional, intense and electrifying film. The script is written by Walter Mosley AND Nadia LatifAnd it is based on Mosley’s book of the same name.
The film was directed by Nadia Latif, making her debut for the direction and also sees the recitation of Anna Diop and Tamara Lawrance.
Hulu will come out The man in my basement in the autumn later in 2025.
