Frank Grillo It is one of the few in the club of those who have played characters in the DC and Marvel universes. He played Brock Rumlow, aka Crossbones, in Marvel films Captain America: The Winter Soldier (2014) e Captain America: Civil War (2016).
He returned to express the character in the series What if…?and appeared in Avengers: endgame. Although his appearance was short, he was held in other franchises, that is to say DC, and he is much happier with this arc there is how much Marvel ever was.
During a recent apparition on Tulsa King Fan Expo Dallas panel, moderate and hosted by Screenrant, Grillo looked back in his time with the MCU, while sharing the reason why he is having part of the DCU franchise.
After discusing crossed bones of the MCU, Grillo explained what is the positive side of playing a character as Flag SR. In the DCU as he worked together James Gunn:
“Rick Flag Sr … It was a shame because the crossed bones are not like that on the screen, and this is years ago. People love that character, and Marvel seems to have reused any other character except for crossed bones.
“Now he is popping up in Spider-Man’s comics and Daredevil comics because he is a great villain, so I expected to have a lot of fun. But unfortunately, he died quickly. But I love working with James Gunn.
‘”I made the voice for Commandos Creatures, and then I am in Peacemaker, who is coming in August. And first, it is Superman with the Flag of Rick. So it is different; it is more an adventure than the Marvel stuff was.”
Grillo’s flag Sr. makes its live debut with Superman In July, before returning Pacifier Season 2.
