Take it back It is not just another dark horror film, it is a pit of despair without rope to be climbed.
Directed by Danny AND Michael PhilippouThis is a horror experience that does not have as much fun as attractive. From the first restless moments to his end of the soul of the soul, you drag you for your hand in absolute darkness and never pretends once there is light in the end.
I left this film feeling devastated and sad, as if I needed therapy and a very long shower.
The story focuses on a brother and a sister who are relying and move to a remote house, just to discover their new guardian, played with chilling brilliance of Sally HawkinsHe is out of his damned mind.
It is involved in a seriously evil witchcraft and what takes place is a nightmare on the pain and horrible cost of the attempt to cancel death while she is going through a twisted process to bring her dead daughter back to life, and what follows is so grotesque and hopeless.
We try to be clear, this film is well made. The Philippou brothers have a sharp eye and a talent for tension and tell horror stories. This was seriously suffocating, it was too damn desolate and unnecessarily overwhelming for me. There are moments that seemed mediocre and cruel, and it was so difficult to overcome.
Hawkins offers a masterclass performance in thermo maternal terror. It is terrifying not because it rages, but because it leads calmly, lovingly to children in infernal ruin. It is the type of performance that makes you notice your stomach. The film is effective in every technical sense, but this is also what makes it so difficult to bear.
There is no humor, no relief, no hope. Nothing to relieve the horrible madness of everything. It becomes increasingly dark as you drag you more and more deep to hell.
The horror of the body is shocking, but not only for graphics. It is the fact that violence is imposed on children. One in particular is only ten years old! And not in a cheap way, this is slow, methodical and cruel. It does not seem horror for catharsis; It looks like horror for punishment.
Guard Take it back It did not seem to me of entertainment. It’s not that I was afraid, it’s that he was a devastating so that he was in a dedenting way.
I saw countless horror films and I usually like to make my head, but this has not simply joked with me, made me feel bad. If you’ve ever lost someone close to you, there are scenes in this film that will sell you in ways you are not prepared, and once it starts to tear you inside you, it doesn’t stop.
Maybe this is the point. Perhaps the film is designed to be this nihilist. Perhaps he is making a declaration on pain, trauma and how to try to reverse death can make monsters from well -being.
But only because something is effective does not mean it’s fun. This is a very well made movie. It is also without joy, cruel and empty. It is a punch well performed to the soul that gives you a punch from the beginning to the end. This film struck me hell!
I will not call Take it back A bad movie. It is not. It is one of the most extreme exams of loss and suffering that I have seen in horror. But I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone I know because I want to keep my friends and a movie like this would destroy many.
Take it back It is a slow burial that is madly raised and there is no redeemed value for history. If it sounds like your type of horror, good luck!
