Vision Quest Showrunner confirms the temporal sequence of the show in the MCU and reveals the SCALE OF THE WRITERS ROOM GAMP

Marvel Studios’ Vision Quest The series is finally focusing and now we know exactly when it takes place in the MCU temporal sequence. We also learned about the talent of writing that is helping to model the story behind the scenes.

Showrunner Terry Matalasbetter known for his work on 12 monkeys and the last season of Star Trek: Picardrecently he sat with Katee Sackhoff and shared new details on Vision QuestCreative direction. While he remained vague, he said:

“There was a kind of logline that was very specific. A bit like this is this, this and this. ‘But there were a thousand ways to do exactly this.

“I am trying to understand how to answer you vaguely, but it was an opportunity to be like, ‘Okay, if you want to do it, then you also want to do it, this and this.’ And it has become this very collaborative experience that was truly wonderful.

He continued to describe the experience of working with the wonder as creatively liberating and a little terrifying:

“And it must not be with the greatest and most successful studies of all time. It has been a truly wonderful creative experience and I think we are making something truly special.

“It is also frightening because they are like, ‘go to do that crazy thing you want to do.’ And I’m like “Oh, Wow, it’s a great stage to make a great swing.” But I think we are really in a good place “

As for when all this takes place? Matalas confirmed what most fans had taken on: Vision Quest takes up directly after the Wandavision ending, following White Vision while trying to return together – mentally, emotionally and perhaps also spiritually.

“The temporal sequence is definitely sailed. At the end of Wandavision, the original vision was rebuilt and armed, and then had a moment of discovery and acceptance of who it was. Then. [he] He flew away. [Vision Quest] He is following that character and the journey of that character. “

The series will go on with a vision that remembers everything … but he feels nothing. This is a fascinating configuration, in particular with the rumors about Ultron, Jocasta and Tommy Maximoff who perform important roles.

As for the writing team behind Vision Quest, according to the Writers Guild of America West, here is the confirmed training:

Michael Taylor (Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, Battlestar Galactica)

Chris Monfette (12 monkeys, Star Trek: Picard)

Cindy Appel (Star Trek: Picard)

Matt Okumura (Star Trek: Picard, Interior Chinatown)

Terry Matalas (12 monkeys, Star Trek: Picard)

The writing team is full of science fiction veterans who know how to balance brain concepts with emotional narrative.

Vision Quest It will debut on Disney+ sometimes in 2026. You can check the complete interview with Matalas below.
