Jason Segel recites in the sponsor of the twisted recovery thriller of James Ponsoldt

This time, Segel is not playing a lovable everyone with emotional luggage. In SponsorHe plays Peter, a man whose life makes himself derail after an accident DUI and who must serve the time of prison or enter a recovery program sent by the court.

Choose the latter, and that’s where the real nightmare begins. The program combines it with Jerry, a mystery mysterious in 12 phases whose “support” becomes something much more accident. That role is still chosen.

Segel and Ponsoldt co-scripted the script and the duo has released a joint declaration that gives a taste of the tone to which they aim:

“We decided to explore what happens when the support becomes control – when the person you turn to for salvation becomes slowly your worst nightmare.

“After collaborating in the reduction, we were thrilled to channel that same emotional intimacy in a psychological thriller, in which the stakes are darker, more dangerous and deeply personal. We can’t wait to give life to this disturbing story with such an incredible team.”

Anaffeire the project is Platinum Dunes, the production of production behind A quiet place AND Purga. Manufacturer Brad Fuller added:

Between Segel that enters the darkest territory and Ponsoldt’s ability to capture raw and intimate shows, this could be the type of history that fans will be interested in looking.
