Lionsgate published the trailer of a comic film by Ensemble Indie entitled Americanwhich stars Sydney Sweeney like a shy waitress e Paul Walter Hauser as a military veterinarian.
In the film, “a gallery of dynamic characters collides on the possession of a rare artifact of Native American in this wildly fun modern western.
“After the artifact falls on the black market, a shy waitress with large dreams (Sweeney) joins a military veteran (Hauser) to earn possession, putting them under the sights of a ruthless criminal who works on behalf of a merchant of western antiquities.
“The blood derives when others join the battle, including the leader of an indigenous group and a desperate woman on the run from her mysterious past.”
It looks like an interesting little film, but has been sitting on the shelf for two years, so it’s not a good sign.
The cast of the film also includes Halsey, Simon Rex As a trader of antiquity, Eric Dane like a ruthless criminal, e Zahn McClarnon as the leader of an indigenous group.
American is written and directed by Tony Tost, making its debut for the direction and will be released in theaters on 22 August 2025.
