Netflix seems to embrace the heaviest tone of Avatar’s subsequent seasons. The original animation notoriously became darker and more mature while it went on, and this casting announcement suggests that the live-action adaptation is following the example.
Season 2 will also mark the debut of Miya Cecch Like Toph Beifong, one of the most loved characters in the franchise.
