If you have kept an eye on the strangeness always excavator Osgood Perkins’Horror movie, you are ready for another surprise, or perhaps a psychological trap.
Neon has just started the first wave of promotion for CustodianAnd it is cryptic, disturbing and silently hypnotic. Just a reminder, this film comes from the director who spent us Longlegs AND The monkey.
It all started with a simple post on X. Neon shared an image of a dark wooded area wet in amber light, subtitled with just enough to raise the hair on the arms
“12:06 PST. Start the dark journey.”
Hours later, Neon dropped an hour to a live YouTube streaming that sounds like a piece of art of disturbing performance. It presents a young woman with a fresher head on a desk, methodically drawing rims on a notebook with a pen. That’s all. This is the whole video and is more than an hour long.
In the end. In the end he lifts the pen, revealing the title of the film:
“Keeper – A dark journey by Osgood Perkins.”
He is pure terror by ASMR.
Perkins developed a reputation for having wrapped his horror projects in immersive and fun marketing campaigns. Last year, the viral launch of Longlegs It was a slow -burning descent in madness, using bizarre images and filmed out of context to build anticipation before the public even knew what the film was. The custodian seems to follow a similar path and already works.
Discuss the film briefly shared two images reported by CustodianOne who shows a figure in half Crama soaked in blood, the other of an isolated cabin immersed in the woods. The photos have been removed since then.
As for the story, bloody disgusting relationships:
“Keeper follows a couple as they run away for a weekend of romantic anniversary in an isolated cabin. When Malcolm (Sutherland) suddenly returns to the city, Liz (Maslany) finds himself isolated and in the presence of an unspeakable evil that reveals the horrible secrets of the cabin.”
Tatiana Maslany (She-Hulk, Orphan Black) AND John Sutherland They are entering what is preparing to be a psychological descent, and perhaps supernatural, in terror.
There is still no release date, no complete trailer and very few answers. But that’s exactly how Osgood Perkins like it.
