Superman Toy Leak makes fun of Wild Fortress of Solita Surprise

Well, it seems that the fortress of Superman’s solitude hosts more than only robot servants, krypt and silent reflection. Thanks to a set of toys just revealed, we saw another wild surprise from James GunnIt is coming Superman Movies.

The toy in question showcases a creature that looks suspiciously an abominable snowman. It is an imposing beast and with the white plague and does not look like a happy guest. Now, not all tie-in movie toys end up representing something that actually presents itself on the screen, but most of the time.

Fans of comics could remember that once the Superman fortress included a sort of intergalactic zoo, the seat of alien species, rare creatures and beings in the process of extinction from destroyed planets.

This could come to the film. Could this monster be an misunderstood relic of another world? A guardian? Or just an extra threat waiting for Lex Luthor and the engineer when they inevitably precipitate the place?

Gunn has been in advance in the past to pull from the roots of the comics, in particular the most fantastic narrative. In an interview at the beginning of this year, Gunn explained:

“I would say that it is an original story, but the tone and appearance of the film, in many ways, are inspired by Superman All-Star of Grant Morrison and Frank Quelty. But if I wrote my story, then I could simply tear their look.

“No, I’m joking. They are really fantastic and they are incredibly talented artists. And I read that comic, and really has this feeling of large comics of the silver age at science fiction school. We have robots and monsters and giants kaiju and all that stuff.”

And if you are wondering how this balance with a character like Superman, Gunn adds:

“But this is also rooted around these incredibly real relationships with a couple who started attending a few months ago, and now they are really learning the details of each other.

“What’s good in them? What’s not good for them? And how are their ideals? We have Lois Lane, who is a pragmatic, and Superman is an idealist and how does it work together? My wife and I are like this, in reality.”

That mix of huge science fiction show and narration focused on the character is the type of formula that will distinguish this superman apart from any other film we have seen.

If this arctic beast shows up in the film, it will be interesting to see how it will play in the story that Gunn has decided to tell.

If the fortress of solitude is hosting snow monsters now, who knows what else is waiting for those frozen walls behind.
