AS Andor Prepares his second and last season, the second season, Diego Luna He is officially saying goodbye to Cassian Andor, a role in Star Wars This has defined almost a decade of his life.
On the red carpet at the El Capitan Theater for the Andor Premiere of Season 2, Luna reflected on the harassing of his Star Wars Journey, deadline to say:
“I greeted this character when we wrapped. I had a beautiful opportunity to speak with the crew, to speak with the cast. [Creator] Tony Gilroy I gave these beautiful words, we drank, we embraced, we cried. I will miss this family. “
Season 2 resumes where the first had stopped from, with Cassian aboard a merchante alongside Luthen Rael (Stellan Skarsgård), while the series goes closer to the tragic but heroic events of Rogue One. While the ending is already written (yes, Cassian dies), the final episodes promise to complete his evolution in a leader and a rebel hero.
For Luna, leaving it was not easy and said:
“It is the dynamic, it is my daily life – what I must say goodbye to. It is difficult, I really crossed an adorable and stimulating journey with these people and has transformed me in some way.”
That transformation, both personal and professional, is not lost on him. Looking back to the ten -year experience, Luna shared:
“It’s sad, it’s painful, but I also know how lucky I am that I had this opportunity. Many cross the acting journey without living something like that, you know? I didn’t know it would happen to me, 10 years of my life have passed, so I’m proud and honored to be part of this family.”
It is not the first time that he expressed that feeling. At Golden Globes at the beginning of this year, Luna said: “I can tell you, I’m sad … because it’s the last season! It’s the end.”
While fans are preparing to say goodbye to Cassian, at least we know that Luna poured everything he had in the role.
The first season of the series followed “Cassian’s reluctant journey from none cynical to the revolutionary volunteer. Andor The second season will see him transform from soldier to leader to hero on the road to his epic fate. Since the first scene, Cassian’s story has activated a whole always removed from allies and enemies.
The second season will see “these intensified relationships while the horizon of the galactic war approaches. Everyone will be tested and, as the stakes are raised, the betrayals, the sacrifices and the conflicting agendas will become profound. Who will live to see their dream come true? Who will heal who will you record what they are?”
