“It’s just a criminal cape that we tried to do really well – and this was a really fun activity. There is nothing wrong with taking a classic genre and just trying to improve it and do things with a real job.”
As for the tone, he noticed that his films often reflect the world in which they are released and said: “Now, Trump is the most famous person in the world, so I need to work even more to be an optimist. With all the challenges we are facing, I try to think about all the things that can connect us – and what I am trying to do with my work now.”
