Unithee Robotics has just introduced its G1 humanoid robot and is flexing its martial arts skills. A new video shows the robot that performs high kicks, fluid positions and precision strikes.
Designed with 23 degrees of freedom, this mechanical martial artist is a demonstration of how the advanced robotic movement has become. But before starting to imagine a Kung-Fu Robot showdown, Unitree is setting some basic rules: “Don’t teach her real combat moves”. Which is probably for the best, as we have all seen how those artificial intelligence riots begin.
Now, while the robot can do Kung-Fu, Unitree provides that the robot that witnesses in houses, hospitals and factories, managing repetitive tasks with tireless precision.
The robot has a price of $ 16,000, which is a high sum. But that’s what a sparring robot partner costs.
