Colman Domingo It is open to join the Marvel film universe, but not like Jonathan Majors’Replacement as Kang the conqueror.
THE Euphoria AND Rustin Star recently appeared on Josh Horowitz’s confused Happy Sad Sadcast, where he turned to reports on the fact that he was in negotiations to play Kang and admitted that he too was caught by surprise by it.
He explained: “Listen, after a while, when he was constantly in the press and places like Twitter, I was like:” Wait a minute, it’s true? Am I talking to Kang? ”
“So I literally called my team and asked:” Do you have conversations that I don’t know anything about? “They were like, no.”
While he was not secretly running for Kang, Domingo confirmed that Marvel had reached general discussions. He said:
“There were conversations about me who entered the wonder in some way, so we followed a meeting to sit with the leaders of Marvel. So I did it. And we spoke openly of the Marvel landscape and even Kang’s voices. “
Despite those interviews, the idea of entering an existing role did not sit with him. The actor shared:
“I’m just energy, and I just want to do things that make sense and bring delicate energy. I want a role to be mine, whatever that role, whatever I develop.
“Something doesn’t seem right to me:” Oh, would I replace someone? “No, I said:” I want to build something from scratch, this is mine. “
He reiterated that from his point of view, Kang has never really been on the table: “So I feel that it has never been a conversation from my point of view, do you know what I mean?
“If I were discussed, I still don’t know if I was discussed, but I only know that I would like to build something from scratch.”
This does not mean that his journey Marvel ended up for Domingo as he confirmed: “There are still talks”, suggesting that we could see him in the MCU at some point.
For now, he has already immersed a tip in the world of superheroes expressing a Norman Osborn alternative universe in Disney Plus Your friendly Spider-Man district.
“I am having a lot of fun. I love animation. I love the idea of interpreting Norman Osborn. You will see its evolution at Green Goblin in the coming seasons, which will be very beautiful.”
However, Domingo has his eyes on live actions and said: “It’s nice (Your friendly Spider-Man district), but I want to get the live action out there. Wouldn’t it be nice? “
Is there a character in the Marvel universe that you think would be suitable for Domingo in live-action?
