At Takara Tomy’s T-Spark Zone event, fans were able to witness the reveal of Basara Prime, a prototype for an upcoming Transformers AND Macross 7 crossed.
This collaboration fuses the iconic world of Optimus Prime with the energetic style of Macross 7The singing pilot, Basara Nekki.
Takara Tomy’s official social media accounts shared the teaser image, and the crossover is part of their new Synergenex series, a line of projects that combine legendary franchises.
Basara Prime transforms from a fighter jet reminiscent of the VF-19 Custom Fire Valkyrie into a robot that blends Optimus Prime’s iconic silhouette with Basara Nekki’s flamboyant style. In particular, the robot is equipped with a guitar strap and is equipped with a guitar.
The figure is expected to ship in winter 2025, although Takara Tomy has yet to reveal its price.
