Remember the OFFICE cold open that was so offensive it was removed from all future screenings?

NBC’s fan-favorite hit series The Office he was known for his inappropriate and uncomfortable humor that pushed boundaries and made us laugh hysterically.

The stacked ensemble were all responsible for the blunt and in-your-face humor, but most would agree on this Steve CarellMichael Scott was mostly responsible for the moments that made us cringe and laugh at the same time.

Some of the best moments of the show were the cold open scenes where we were thrown into scenarios that set the tone for the series. Many of the best feuds between Jim and Dwight were framed in those opening scenes. But a cold opener was canceled from the show for crossing the line.

In season 6, episode 8, titled “Koi Pond” (one of my favorites), Michael and colleagues put together a haunted house in the Dunder Mifflin warehouse, and Michael tasks Darryl with leading a group of kids through the spooky setup.

When they get to the end, Michael, who is dressed as one of the guys from the Andy Samberg/Justin Timberlake SNL “Dick in a Box” music video, is hanging from the rafters by rope.

He squirms as the children scream, then pops out to tell them that suicide is never the answer. It’s ridiculous, and so on, for Michael Scott, who seems to do everything with the best intentions and the worst execution, pun intended.

The clip is still available online in some places, but has been removed from the episode in which it is streamed and syndicated.

Do you remember when it aired? What is your favorite cold dish? The Office?
