Cynthia Erivo reveals her next dream role will be Storm in the MCU’s X-MEN

Twice Oscar nominee Cinzia Erivo she’s always had an impressive ability to captivate in any role she takes on, but this has never been more evident than in the last couple of months when we saw her take on the role of Elphaba in the hit musical Evil.

Now with that role under her belt, some fans have been wondering what she would take up next, and many have been talking about her joining the MCU, with some fans casting her as Storm.

Erivo not only agrees with that casting, but revealed that he absolutely wants to accept it. Speaking at the National Board of Review, Erivo was asked to express a character she would like to play in the future.

Erivo said that X-Men’s Storm is the next character she would like to play. She went on to talk about the depth she believes Storm has as a character, which is a large part of what appeals to her about the role.

“I really want to play Storm. I know it sounds frivolous, but I don’t think we’ve discovered how great she is and all the inner turmoil she has. So I think there’s a world where we could do something like that.

This is probably the perfect time for Erivo to make his casting wishes known. We’re gearing up for Marvel’s relaunch of the X-Men in the next few years, and I think Erivo would be excellent in the role.
