Rosa Byrne (Damage) AND Meghann Fahy (The White Lotus) will be the protagonists of the series adaptation of the novel The good daughter. The limited series is set at Peacock and Byrne also serves as an executive producer.
The series is described as a “suspenseful crime drama in which sisters Charlotte (Fahy) and Samantha (Byrne) Quinn have spent the last 28 years trying to piece together lives that were shattered by a single night of violence. .
“When another attack destroys the town of Pikeville, Charlotte is the first witness on the scene. Now a lawyer like her father, she is forced to face her own demons as the case winds through one shocking revelation after another.
“In the end, both she and Samantha find themselves wondering if being a good daughter was worth it after all.”
Charlotte was originally supposed to be played by Jessica Biel, but she ultimately dropped out of the project.
The book was written by Karin Slaughterwho served as a non-writing executive producer on the television adaptations of his novels Pieces of her AND It will be Trentobut will write and executive produce all episodes of The good daughter.
