Last week, director Andy Muschietti he said in a podcast that his DC Studios Batman movie The brave and the bold has been “delayed a bit” and that he “might make another movie first.”
WELL, James Gunn he responded when a fan asked him about it on social media. Gunn replied: “The brave and the bold It wasn’t delayed so I’m not sure what you’re talking about.”
It seems to me that there are some miscommunications going on, and Gunn and Muschietti should be on the same page because it could complicate things and make fans angry.
Gunn stressed the importance of nailing down the script before moving forward with any project, saying:
“There’s no set timeline for anything. The one thing I’ve tried to make clear to people from the beginning, in the way I hope we’ll be different, is that everything at DC is going to be writer-driven. Until we have a script I’m totally happy with, that movie won’t get made, whatever it is.”
Gunn’s vision for the DCU prioritizes storytelling above all else, and his remarks suggest as much The brave and the bold it is still in the early stages of development.
He highlighted recent successes with scripts such as Supergirl and the Lanterns series, noting, “Once The brave and the bold get to that point, then we’ll make the film.”
The project is said to be inspired by Grant Morrison AND Frank Enoughis acclaimed Batman and Robin comic books. The story will focus on Bruce Wayne’s relationship with his son Damian, training him as Robin while navigating the complex dynamics of fatherhood and vigilantism.
“BATMAN: THE BRAVE AND THE BOLD” was not delayed according to James Gunn:
