Jesse Eisenberg (A real pain) has finalized his next film project, an untitled musical comedy, and Juliana Moore (The room next door) AND Paolo Giamatti (The Holdovers) will be the protagonist of the film.
The film follows “a shy woman who is unexpectedly cast in the local production of an original musical. Under the spell of the strong-willed and enigmatic director, she loses herself in the role and the high-stakes world of this community theater production.
Eisenberg is a talented actor and director, I really liked his recently released film A real pain. It’s a strong little independent film that’s worth checking out.
A real pain centers on Eisenberg as David, who along with his mismatched cousin Benji (Kieran Culkin), embarks on a journey through Poland to pay homage to their beloved grandmother.
What begins as a heartfelt homage quickly unravels as lingering tensions between the two resurface, all while navigating the deeply intertwined threads of their family’s past.
Eisenberg will direct this new film from his own screenplay and will also contribute original music.
