Here is the trailer for an upcoming independent film titled Rebelwhich sees a young girl form a bond with a hitchhiker with nefarious purposes. This seems like an interesting story that shows both sides of a kidnapping situation.
In the film, “As she moved from Idaho to Los Angeles with her mother, 11-year-old Cleo (Chloe Guidry), who longs to find stability in his life, falls in love with a charismatic hitchhiker they meet along the way.
“As the girl becomes increasingly separated from her mother, she forms an unlikely bond with the hitchhiker, blurring the line between escape and kidnapping.”
Do people still pick up hitchhikers?! If so, this is just another reason why you shouldn’t let strangers into your car.
Mom is played by Jess Weixlerand she is joined by Jessica Sula, Rob Morrow, Will BrittianAND Colleen Campo.
Rebel is written and directed by Jacquelyn Frohlichwho is making his directorial debut.
