While Joker: Folie a Deux completely bombarded by audiences at the box office, Lady Gaga she received some praise for her portrayal of Harley “Lee” Quinn.
Now, it looks like there’s a chance that Lady Gaga could make the jump from DC to Marvel. According to Inside Scooper MTTSH, Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige is interested in bringing Gaga into the MCU as Dazzler.
What’s reported here is just a rumor, but this source was right about a lot of things, so we’ll just have to wait and see. In any case, it’s not hard to imagine Gaga in the role of Dazzler. I assume the character will be introduced as part of the first X-Men team.
Feige recently talked about bringing the X-Men into the MCU, saying, “I think you’ll see that continue in our next movies with some X-Men players that you might recognize.”
He then revealed; “Right after that, the whole story of Secret Wars it really brings us into a new era of mutants and the X-Men. Still, [it’s] one of those dreams comes true. We finally have the X-Men again.”
Dazzler, also known as Alison Blaire, was first introduced in Mysterious X-Men #130 in 1980, and was created as a multimedia character during a collaboration between Marvel and Casablanca Records.
Her mutant power allows her to convert sound into light, which she uses for dazzling displays, blinding explosions, and focused laser beams. Originally pursuing a career as a disco singer, Alison’s adventures often intertwine her musical career as a pop star with her life as a superhero.
