Sam Wilson (Anthony Mackie) has always been Steve Rogers’ right-hand man (Chris Evans) in the MCU before Captain America’s retirement Avengers: Endgame.
Since then, Sam has gone from Falcon to the new Captain America, donning the suit and shield, but he won’t be found without his wingman by his side.
With Bucky dealing with his adventures, which we will see in the next film Lightning* in May there will be Captain America’s new sidekick Danny Ramirezis Joaquín Torres.
Aside from the high-flying action the film promises, the relationship between Captain America and Falcon will also provide some heart to the Marvel film that primarily aims for political thriller intrigue. Director Giulio Onah tells Empire of the new Cap-Falcon report:
“There’s this incredible dynamic between big brother and little brother. It will be one of the key emotional centers of the film.”
He says this as they prepare to face all kinds of subterfuge, as well as Harrison FordRoss, Sam and Joaquin, the president of the Red Hulk, will have to support each other. And by all accounts, they’re ready to step it up when the action comes. Onah continued:
“These guys are all incredible fighters. And Sam was back and forth. He has a few tricks up his sleeve and over the course of the film he learns things that become other tools in his arsenal when faced with even the most impossible threat.”
I can’t wait to see this new Captain America movie. It looks like it will bring a lot of excitement and start a great new chapter for Mackie’s Cap.
Captain America: Brave New World will be released in theaters on February 14, 2025.
