There’s an intense new thriller on Netflix worth checking out titled Don’t movewhich was directed by Adam Schindler AND Brian Nettoand produced by Sam Raimi. It’s a really great movie!
During a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter, the two directors were asked if they had any dream projects they would like to work on and mentioned two films, Dark man and a live-action Miles Morales film, which they talked about with Raimi.
Schindler said, “If we’re talking about Sam, that’s it Dark man. We talked about it Dark man [with him]. We have a love and affinity for Dark man.”
Netto added: “Dark man it was my favorite movie for a good part of my life. It was the movie, so Darkman would be really interesting. At some point, they’ll give Miles Morales a try in live-action.”
Schindler then said, “We talked about it [with Sam] as well.”
Even if they talked to Raimi about these things, it doesn’t mean they will get the chance to direct them. When it comes to Miles Morales, that’s Sony Pictures’ decision, but I think the two filmmakers should at least be given the opportunity to present their pitch to the studio.
After watching Don’t moveI think they have a strong cinematic and narrative talent.
Chief Marvel Kevin Feige recently talked about the future of Miles Morales and said: “Miles will appear in the third Spider-Verse, which is in production. I hope that, shortly after, he can enter the MCU in live-action.”
Raimi will return to the MCU to direct Doctor Strange 3 for Marvel Studios, but I would definitely like to see him get the opportunity to get another chance to play Spider-Man again.
