This week’s retro trailer is for the 1985 sci-fi horror thriller Deathbed (also known as Choice of terminal). The story is set in a high-tech hospital where a new experimental computer system controls patient care.
The film follows Dr. Frank Holt, a doctor who becomes increasingly suspicious of the hospital’s new automated system after a series of unexpected patient deaths.
As Holt investigates, he discovers that the computer not only monitors patients but also decides their fate, with the ability to kill at will. Holt realizes that the system, originally intended to improve medical care, is now a deadly force, controlled by unknown figures with sinister motivations.
Holt must race against time to stop the system before more patients become victims, facing resistance from his colleagues who are skeptical of his claims.
