Marvel debuted a fantastic, action-packed extended trailer for Lightning* at D23 Brazil today, and now that trailer is online for you to watch and enjoy! It looks like it’s going to be a great Marvel movie!
The trailer is nearly four minutes long and begins with an action-packed clip from the film that sees the team engaged in a car chase while being chased by the military and The Winter Solider.
the brief plot summary reads: “A world without Avengers doesn’t mean there isn’t a superhero team. There’s a group and they call themselves the Thunderbolts. A group of MCU supervillains are recruited to go on a mission for the government.
Julia Louis-Dreyfus reprises her role as CIA director Countess Valentina Allegra de Fontaine in Lightning*. He made his debut in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier on Disney+ when he talked about John Walker (Wyatt Russell) in abandoning the character of Captain America in favor of US Agent.
De Fontaine then appeared in the post-credits scene in Black Widow when he assigned Yelena Belova (Florence Pugh) to eliminate Clint Barton/Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner).
His most recent appearance occurred in Black Panther: Wakanda Foreverand there it was discovered that she was the director of the CIA.
The cast of Lightning* also includes Sebastiano Stan as Bucky Barnes, Davide Porto in the role of the Red Guardian, Hannah John-Kamen in the role of Ghost, Lewis Pullman like The Sentinel, e Olga Kurylenko as Taskmaster.
The film is directed by Jake Schreier (Paper cities, joke) and was written by Eric Pearson (Thor: Ragnarok, Black Widow) AND Kurt Busiek.
Lightning* is currently scheduled for release in theaters on May 2, 2025. You can also check out a new poster below.
