Kristen Bell AND Adam Brodythe romantic comedy series of Nobody wants it has been renewed for a second season on Netflix. I just started watching this show with my wife and we love it! It’s good to know that it will have a second season.
In Nobody Wants This, “an agnostic podcast host and a recovering unconventional rabbi walk into a party. When they leave – together – the unlikely couple, Joanne (Bell) and Noah (Brody), realize there’s something between them.
“But also potentially each other, with their different views on life, all the modern obstacles to love and their sometimes well-meaning, sometimes sabotaging families – including his sister Morgan (Justine Lupe) and brother Sasha (Timothy Simons).”
The series was created by Erin Foster, who said in a statement: “Making Nobody Wants This will forever be the highlight of my career.
“The incredible cast, crew, producers and executives have made this the show it is today, and experiencing viewers’ reactions to this series now that it’s out in the world has been more than anything I could have dreamed of.
“I’m so lucky to be able to continue this story, and to do it alongside Jenni Konner and Bruce Eric Kaplan, who I’ve been a huge fan of since Girls… Justice for Healthy Relationships is the most romantic!”
Jenni Konner and Bruce Eric Kaplan (Girls) have come aboard as executive producers and showrunners for season two and will lead the writers’ room that has been open for a couple of weeks. They are joined by Nora Silver, president of Jenni Konner Productions, who will serve as executive producer.
Konner said: “It’s a dream to work on Nobody Wants This. Erin is a rare creator with a crystal clear voice and a genuinely collaborative spirit. I’m such a fan of Erin’s show and I also feel so lucky to be in a room with two of my favorites again, Bruce Kaplan and [writer] Sarah Heyward from Girls.
Kaplan added: “I am thrilled beyond belief to be a part of the second season of Nobody Wants This, created by the hilarious Erin Foster. It’s such a unique and beautiful show and I’m already having so much fun working on it.
