SMALLVILLE star Erica Durance talks about the animated revival and what she wants to see from Lois Lane

Smallville stars Tom Welling AND Michael Rosenbaum they’re very excited about the animated revival of the series that they’re actively trying to get off the ground, and they’re determined to make it happen.

There is still a long road ahead of them and some obstacles to overcome, but this is something that could very likely happen one day. Warner Bros. and DC Studios must be excited, too.

Lois Lane actress Erica Durance she recently talked about what she’d like to see from Lois on the series, if that happened.

While speaking to Screen Rant, she said, “I would have loved to explore where she would go further in her career. If it were her becoming a mother, how she would balance that.

“I would love to delve a little more into her past, her experiences with her father, and how her upbringing shaped her a little more and see her grow into another person, an adult version of herself.

“But I’d like to keep it complicated and full of conflict and not always do the right thing and not always say the right thing because there are more people like that out there, I think, in the world, than who seem to be super lucid.”

Smallville ended with Lois helping with Clark’s transformation into Superman and we know something about it Crisis on Infinite Earths who eventually married and had two daughters.

Welling had previously spoken about the project, saying: We’ve been talking about it for a few years. We want to do a Smallville comics and animated series, and then we would all voice the characters. We already have an artist and we have a poster.”

He talked about the poster, saying, “We haven’t gotten around to sharing it yet, but Lionel Luthor looms over everyone, and that’s really cool, but we can’t do anything without DC saying we can do it.” It.

“They just didn’t give us the green light, but we’re ready, and Al [Gough] and miles [Millar]who wrote Smallville, they want to write it, but it’s not our property until they say we can.”

He added: “It would be more of a labor of love. It’s not going to make a billion dollars, so the studio is kind of like [grumbles]. Maybe we can do a – not a GoFundMe, because it’s a financial thing – but like a petition. We can petition Warner Bros. to allow it.”

Rosenbaum previously teased the project, saying, “Tom and I are working on a Smallville animated series that we are trying to make. It’s going to take some time.”

He continued: “But the creators of Smallville they are attached, they want to be part of it. And we’ll, you know, when the time is right, we’ll present it.

“You know, we’re working on it and we have some loose animations that we’ve been working on [on] with someone who was just amazing. It looks fantastic. So if we can make it happen, that would be amazing.”

Rosenbaum has “an idea of what the show is” and has previously talked about it with the entire cast Smallville “they would give voice to their own character on the show.”

The original series starred Rosembaum as Lex Luthor, Welling as Clark Kent, Kristin Kreuk as Lana Lang, Sam Jones III, Allison Mack, Annette O’Toole, John Schneider, John Glover, Jensen Ackles, Erica Durance, Justin HartleyAND Callum Blueamong many others.

A Smallville animated series seems like an easy decision to make, but many studio executives tend to have a lack of brains and common sense.
