About two years have passed since then Liam Hemsworth replaced Henry Cavill as Geralt of Rivia on Netflix The witcher Season 4 and has never talked about being cast in the series…until now.
Hemsworth broke his silence by playing Geralt while he was a guest Live with Kelly and Mark (via Redanian Intelligence). That’s where Hemsworth admitted that, when asked to play Geralt, he hadn’t watched the Netflix series or read That of Andrzej Sapkowski book series.
However, it played CD Projekt Red Sorcerer video game series. He said:
“I hadn’t seen the TV show. And I hadn’t read the books. But I played the video game about ten years ago or something. And it’s still one of the best video games of all time.
“And Netflix came to me almost two years ago and said they wanted me to step in and take over.”
Hemsworth added, “I was really excited to play that character because I was a fan of the video game. But I said, you know, let me watch the TV show and check out the books and get really involved.”
The actor also confirmed on the show that filming on the new season will wrap up in a matter of weeks, with production on the fifth and final season of The Witcher set to begin in early 2025 after a four-month hiatus.
The witcher Season 4 will pick up right after the Season 3 finale. “After the shocking, continent-altering events that close out Season 3, the new season follows Geralt, Yennefer, and Ciri as they must traverse the war-torn continent and its many separated demons from each other.
“If they can embrace and lead the misfit groups they find themselves in, they have a chance of surviving the baptism of fire and finding themselves.”
The witcher the series will end with season 5 and the last two seasons will adapt the rest of the author Andrzej Sapkowskihis books, Baptism of fire, The Tower of the SwallowAND Lady of the Lake.
The series is also the protagonist Freya Allan, Joey Batey, Freya Allan, Anya ChalotraAND Meng’er Zhang. New additions Laurence Fishburnewho will play Regis, and Danny Woodburnwho plays Zoltan.
It will be interesting to see if audiences and fans continue to watch this series now that Cavill is not involved.
