Epic Pictures’ horror film label DREAD has released the first trailer for Infestation Seasonwhich tells the disturbing story of a costumed killer who infiltrates a haunted house in the Midwest, blurring the lines between performance and reality.
In the film, “A masked maniac targets cast members at a suburban Halloween attraction, turning their staged injuries into gruesome, real-life horrors. As the terror escalates, the lines between performance and reality blur.”
The film was shot in a haunted house in the Midwest during the Halloween season. The film also uses practical effects and stunning SFX makeup to pull off its terrifying kills.
The film was written and directed by Jake Jarviwho said: “Infestation Season It’s about the world of passionate creatives. Collaborating with a real haunted house gave us incredible insight into the world of ghosts, and there were so many parallels to our world of independent production.
“These are creative people doing what it takes to make their dreams come true. Only in this case, one person’s dream is killing a lot of people.”

The film’s cast includes YouTube stars Rob Scallon AND Craig Petrol in supporting roles. Other cast members include Stefano Kristof, Dr. Jeremy Warner (Reportage for Christmas, Advent, The Invisible), Katelin’s Stack (The three evil ones, evil hides, the natural) AND Adam Hinkle (Chicago Fire, The Park, Under Covers).
Infestation Season will be released in theaters for a limited time starting October 4th, and from October 8th the film will be available for rental or purchase via video-on-demand (VOD).
