Here’s a trailer for a super dark looking movie titled Black-eyed Susan. The film centers on a lifelike robot that is built to receive and “enjoy” sexual abuse. It’s like a much darker version of Ex Machina.
In the movie, “Derek the Unlucky” (Damian Maffei) is hired by a shady tech industrialist to “test” Susan (Yvonne Emilie Thälkerin a surprising feature film debut), a lifelike robot built for the purpose of receiving and “enjoying” sexual abuse.
“Initially hesitant to participate, Derek agrees, but soon finds himself drawn to Susan’s developing personality and inquisitive nature.
“As the robot’s expanding humanity wears him down and he discovers more about its secret desires, he wonders whether what he’s been asked to do, even to a robot, should ever be tolerated.”
It seems like a very disturbing story but it is also thought-provoking. The film is by the director McCrae’s Scooterwho hasn’t directed a film in 21 years. The film also features Mark Romeo AND Written by Scott Fowler.
Black-eyed Susan It is scheduled to premiere at the 2024 Fantasia Film Festival.
