Michael B. Giordano has signed on to star in and direct a new Thomas Crown Affair film, which is being produced by Amazon MGM Studios.
This will be the third Thomas Crown Affair film to be made. There is the original film from 1968 which starred Steve McQueen AND The Life of Faye Dunaway and the 1999 version, which features Pierce Brosnan AND Rene Russo.
The story tells of Thomas Crown, a wealthy and charismatic businessman who plans to steal a priceless painting from a New York City museum, just for the fun of it.
His perfect crime catches the attention of Catherine Banning, a sharp and determined insurance investigator tasked with recovering the stolen art.
As she begins to court Crown, their cat-and-mouse game becomes increasingly complicated by their growing mutual attraction.
The story unfolds through a series of clever twists and high-stakes deceptions, ultimately blurring the lines between pursuit and romance as both characters try to outdo each other while questioning their true motivations.
Pearce draws wrote the script and an earlier draft was written by Wes Took is a doctor AND Justin Britt Gibsonbased on the original film.
This is one of those stories that I really have no interest in seeing remade. But maybe there are other fans out there who are like, “Yes! Please give us another Thomas Crown Affair movie!”
In any case, Jordan is a talented actor and director and I’m sure he will make a great film.
