Deadpool and Wolverine he gave Daphne Acute the opportunity to reprise her role as Laura/X-23 for the first time since Logan, and it was fantastic to see her in action again!
X-23 is a fantastic character and I love how Keen brought her to life. Ever since she debuted in Logan, I’ve always hoped there would be an opportunity to explore her further.
Empire Magazine recently gave Keen a short interview, asking her if she wants to continue playing this character in the MCU. Keen made her intentions very clear.
Keen said, “I would 100% do this for the rest of my life.” So now it’s up to Marvel Studios to make that happen, because fans like me are eager to see more of this character and his story.
Previously speaking about her future in the MCU, Keen said: “I would love to come back. I would pay them to come back. Playing Laura has been the greatest honor of my life.
“For me, we’ve only scratched the surface with her, because she’s such a complex character. She’s so cool, just from a fan’s perspective.”
She also confirmed that she is Logan’s Laura and not just a variant that looks like her.[Ryan Reynolds and Shawn Levy] like, “Not a Variant. You followed the boys for a few years and then you got zapped. You’ve been in TVA for a few years now. You lost your accent because you were in America for a while.”
“You’re a very smart guy, you learned English when you were with Logan… for you, you’re Logan’s Laura, so seeing this person again is like, ‘Wow, this is my father who I haven’t seen in years.'”
I have no idea what the future plans are for Keen’s X-23, but I hope Marvel Studios at least has some plans for her future! What would you like to see Marvel do with this character?
