New DAREDEVIL: BORN AGAIN Promo Art on Display at D23 Expo; X-MEN ’97 Composers’ Series

There are some new things Daredevil: Reborn promotional art on display at the D23 Expo, which opens this weekend. There’s a cute little setup on the floor of the convention hall and one side features Charles CoxDaredevil and other side features Vincent D’OnofrioIt’s The Kingpin and the art is done in graffiti style.

Daredevil: Reborn is among the few MCU projects we expect to see at D23’s “Disney Entertainment Showcase” tonight. If we’re lucky, we’ll get a first trailer.

It was also announced that The Newton Brothers (X-Men ’97) will compose the soundtrack for Daredevil: Born Again.

They shared in a post: “We are thrilled to finally share that we are composing the score for Daredevil: Born Again! As a longtime fan of the Daredevil comics, this project is another dream come true.

“We’ve always had a deep love for the character’s complex world. Needless to say, we love John Paesano’s incredible theme! We’ll have more to share about all of this soon.”

Head of Marvel’s Television, Streaming and Animation Division Mr. Bradhad already spoken about the series saying that it would give a new “political” perspective to the bitter rivalry between Daredevil and Kingpin.

Winderbaum compared the show to X-Men ’97: “Daredevil is amazing. It’s similar in some ways to X-Men ’97 because it’s reviving something that fans love. But it’s taking it in a new direction.”

He went on to tease how things have changed, saying, “These characters have matured, the universe is different than it was. Things have changed, society has changed. Matt and Wilson have changed.

“And their characters are going to collide in ways they’ve never seen before. It’s not enough to just try to kill each other anymore. There’s a whole game of politics at play.”

The new series is said to be inspired by Kingdom of the devil plot, which explores the power dynamics between the Kingpin and the vigilantes who oppose him. The story revolves around the power struggle between Daredevil and Wilson Fisk, who becomes mayor of New York City.

In this story arc, Kingpin uses his newfound political influence to launch a crackdown on vigilantes, making their activities illegal. This leads to a fierce confrontation between Daredevil and Kingpin, with the latter using all of his resources to hunt down and eliminate Daredevil and his allies.

D’Onofrio previously spoke about the project, saying, “It brings with it a lot of great storytelling and all the collateral history that happened in those original three seasons. So now we can start this Born Again situation with all that history behind it and the outcome of all that history. So now we’re all talking about Daredevil: Born Again in those terms.”

The series also features the participation of Jon Bernthal like Frank Castle / The Punisher, Vanessa Fisk, Michael Gandolfini, Margarita Levieva, by Nikki M. James, Michael Gaston, The Artist FroushanAND Clark Johnson in undisclosed roles. Deborah Ann Woll AND Elden Henson Karen Page and Foggy Nelson will also reprise their roles. Wilson Bethel reprises his role as Benjamin Poindexter, aka Bullseye.
