Cate Blanchett defends BORDERLANDS after negative reviews: ‘It’s fun, fun, fun, but it’s not Citizen Kane!’

Reviews for Borderlands they were not good. In fact, last time I checked the movie had a 0% on Rotten Tomatoes, which is crazy!

Could this movie really be as bad as the critics say!? Probably, but I’ll watch it anyway to get a feel for it, and I’m just curious to see how bad the movie actually is.

Cate Blanchettwhich recites in Borderlandsnow he’s defending the film and the actors who star in it. He’s also telling audiences not to take his latest film too seriously because the whole thing is supposed to be crazy fun.

In a recent interview with USA Today Blanchett said: “Jamie is just brilliant. And when Gina walked on set, it was like va-va-voom, as it always is with her.

“I mean, it’s not Wrat’s Grapesh. It is not Blade Runner. It’s a strange, bizarre thing, and when you look at the cast, there’s a heterogeneous quality. We’re a very heterogeneous team, in life and in art. I don’t think anyone would call Borderlands art, but it’s fun.”

He also has a message for those who criticized the film before it even came out: “People say, ‘Oh, it was a flop,’ or ‘it was a success.'”

“But sometimes the films that we consider the greatest of all time were not financial or commercial successes, and yet they became classics. I’m not saying Borderlands It’s a classic! It’s fun, fun, fun, but it’s not Citizen Kane!”

Yes, I wouldn’t bet on Borderlands becoming a classic movie, but for some it might be a fun one-time experience.

It’s a shame that the film is bombarded with terrible reviews, but when I heard Eli Roth I was directing it, I knew it wasn’t going to be good.

In the film, “Lilith, a notorious bounty hunter with a mysterious past, reluctantly returns to her home, Pandora, the most chaotic planet in the galaxy. Her mission is to find the missing daughter of Atlas, the most powerful son of a bitch in the universe.

“Lilith forms an unexpected alliance with a motley crew of misfits: Roland, a seasoned mercenary on a mission; Tiny Tina, a savage preteen demolitionist; Krieg, Tina’s hunky protector; Tannis, the eccentric scientist who’s seen it all; and Claptrap, a know-it-all robot.

“Together, these unlikely heroes must battle an alien species and dangerous bandits to uncover one of Pandora’s most explosive secrets.

“The fate of the universe may be in their hands, but they will fight for something more: each other. Based on one of the best-selling video game franchises of all time, welcome to BORDERLANDS.”

The movie stars Cate Blanchett like Lilith, My Friend Jamie Lee Curtis like Tannis, Kevin Hart like Roland, Black Jackthe character of Claptrap, Ariana Greenblatt like little Tina, and Florian Munteanu like Krieg.

Borderlands will be released in theaters on August 9, 2024.
