Josh Brolin Wanted to Be in DEADPOOL and WOLVERINE as Cable

With all the cameos that have graced the screen in Deadpool and WolverineIt wouldn’t have been surprising to see Actor return to the role of Cable, which he played in Personages.

It would have been fun to see Brolin return to the MCU after playing Thanos, the most formidable villain ever, and then reappear as the badass Cable.

I’m sure Deadpool would have had fun poking fun at that dynamic, but unfortunately Brolin couldn’t make it work.

In a recent interview with Bingeworthy TV (via CB), the actor admitted that he really wanted to be involved in some way, but his filming schedule for both Dune: Part Two and Outer Range they were too difficult to manage.

The podcast asked him how he ended up on the IMDb page for Deadpool and Wolverineand Brolin said, “I really wanted to be in that movie.” So he was probably in talks with Ryan Reynolds and Shawn Levy, and he was planning on being in it if his schedule allowed. He went on to say:

“[Marvel] it’s a more complex labyrinth than External range never will, my friend. And I’ll never know where it went or what it is or what I’m involved in or what I’m not involved in – the MCU is so involved now… Cable was a lot of fun. I loved playing that role. It was a lot of fun.”

I bet there’s a good chance we’ll see Cable again, especially with the interdimensional route the MCU is taking in the upcoming phases. I can’t wait to see how it all unfolds. The interview continued and Brolin was surprised when the interviewer pointed out that Thanos was the most killed MCU villain in the history of the franchise. He responded:

“You know, I’ve heard rumors that they’re bringing him back. And there’s the What If…? series, which is a different Thanos and all that. But I don’t know if in the Marvel world they’re bringing him back, but I didn’t know he was the most killed Marvel villain… You learn something new every day.”

Of course. Would you like to see Cable and/or Thanos return to the MCU?
