Jennifer Garner was present at the San Diego Comic-Con last weekend, where he attended the Deadpool and Wolverine panel with her co-stars. The actress, who reprised her role as Electra in the film, got into an elevator at the Hard Rock Hotel in San Diego, California, that left her stranded with several other people. Garner documented the dilemma in a series of videos she shared on Instagram.
“Hey guys, um, we’re stuck in this elevator,” Garner said in the first video. “I could use a Wolverine, I could use a Deadpool. I could use anybody.”
The following clip was recorded 11 minutes after she was trapped in the elevator and said: “It’s hot. I’m horny, I need to dry off.”
“Don’t cut the blue string, that’s what we hear,” Garner joked, trying to make the best of the situation.
In the next update at minute 35, Garner sat on the floor and said, “I think I heard on an episode of The office OR Brooklyn Nine-Nine or something you should sit on. So we’re sitting.”
At minute 41, Garner sings “99 Bottles of Beer.” In the next video, at minute 45, Garner talks about calling 911 for help.
The saga continued for an hour and Garner said the lights were back on. She started singing Madonna’s “Like a Prayer,” a song featured in the Marvel movie Deadpool and Wolverine.
Garner got a happy ending after real-life superheroes came to her rescue. After an hour and 12 minutes, firefighters forced open the elevator doors, leading everyone to cheer that they were finally saved. The comments on her posts were hilarious, with many celebrities among the messages.
“Terrifying,” wrote Nathan Fillion.
Tracee Ellis Ross said: “Oh my God! Kudos to you for staying calm.”
Gina Torres wrote: “OMG! Let this be a lesson to all you kids out there! Always pray to Madonna!”
Gwyneth Paltrow remarked: “Okay, I don’t believe it, oh my god, how are you so calm?”
Aisha Tyler said: “OH MY GOD BEYOND.”
