Peacock has released a new trailer for its upcoming heist thriller series titled Fight Night: The Million Dollar HeistThe stars of the show Kevin Hartand tells the true story of an armed robbery that took place after Muhammad Ali’s historic comeback fight in 1970.
Fight Night: The Million Dollar Heist is based on the acclaimed true crime podcast iHeart and chronicles how this robbery “not only changed one man’s life, but transformed Atlanta into a ‘Mecca for Black People.'”
“When a con man named Chicken Man (Hart) throws an afterparty to celebrate a brawl involving the country’s richest men, the night ends with the most brazen criminal heist in Atlanta history.
“Suspected of masterminding the crime, Chicken Man is determined to clear his name, but he must convince his old adversary, JD Hudson (Don Cheadle), one of the first black detectives on the city’s desegregated police force, whose job is to bring those responsible to justice.”
Fight Night: The Million Dollar Heist It is a series created and directed by screenwriter Shaye Ogbonna and the cast also includes Samuel L. Jackson, by Taraji P. Henson, Terrence Howard, Chloe Bailey, Our real estate agency, Dexter Darden, Lori HarveyAND Sinqua Walls.
The series is directed by Brewer Craig (Black Snake Groan, Footloose, Hustle & Flow) and the series will debut on September 5th.
