Kevin Costner’s HORIZON: AN AMERICAN SEASON – CHAPTER 2, Release Delayed

Kevin Costner’S Horizon: An American Saga – Chapter 2 will no longer be released in theaters on August 16th and it’s a shame to have to break this news.

This news comes after the first film in the saga was a box office flop. It is explained that the directors wanted to give the audience time to find the first film, whether at home or in the theater.

The first chapter of the saga will be released digitally on July 16, but will continue to be shown in theaters. If you haven’t seen this movie yet, you should, it’s a fantastic western!

A representative for New Line in a statement: “Territory Pictures and New Line Cinema have decided not to distribute Horizon: Chapter 2” on August 16th to give the public a greater opportunity to discover the first episode of Horizon in the coming weeks, also on PVOD and MAX.

I’m sorry that his film is struggling at the box office, but I wonder if it would have been more successful if Costner had released the entire Horizon saga as a miniseries.

Don’t get me wrong, I love the theatrical experience! But his Yellow stone Fans don’t flock to the theater to see the film.

Horizon: An American Saga chronicles “a multifaceted, 15-year span of expansion and settlement of the American West before and after the Civil War. Told through the eyes of many, the epic journey is fraught with danger and intrigue, from the constant assault of the elements to interactions with the indigenous peoples who lived on the land and the determination and, in many cases, ruthlessness of those who sought to settle it.”

Costner continued to talk about the audience’s experience with this film, saying, “Can they, in a way, feel themselves in this film? Because that’s what I want people to feel in the darkness, that [it] suddenly it just soaks them up. We all know what happens when the lights go out: something good, something mediocre, or something great. My hope is that this is something that stays with them forever.”

Costner has previously spoken about the story, saying, “It’s a really beautiful story; it’s a tough story. It really does involve a lot of women, to be honest. There are a lot of men in it, too, but the women are really strong in Horizon. It’s just them trying to get by every day in a world that was incredibly tough.

“They were often [dragged] in these places because that’s where the men wanted to go; the women followed their men. They didn’t ask to be in these territories that were unstable and dangerous, and life wasn’t easy. I chose to make sure that it was really obvious, that it wasn’t easy, and how vulnerable people were.”

The film also has a fantastic cast which includes Siena Miller, Sam Worthington, Jamie Campbell’s Bower, Luke Wilson, Thomas Haden Church, Jena Malone, Michael Rooker, Alexander Edda, It will be Patton,AND Tatanka means.
