Toys”R”Us has partnered with creative agency Native Foreign to produce a short film titled The Origin of Toys”R”Us.
The one-minute short was created using OpenAI’s Sora technology. The film imagines how company founder Charles Lazarus dreamed of his future toy store as a child and its mascot Geoffrey the Giraffe.
The film took several weeks to make, and premiered at the Cannes Film Festival.
As explained, “OpenAI’s Sora allowed Toys “R” Us Studios and Native Foreign to turn a concept into reality in a matter of weeks, condensing hundreds of iterative shots into a couple dozen.”
It’s really impressive to see what Sora can do. Even though it doesn’t look quite right yet, they’ll be able to refine it over the next few years and it will continue to get better and better.
The future of artificial intelligence is going to be really crazy.
Below I have prepared a teaser trailer for you, while here you can see the full movie.
