DC has released the first teaser trailer for Batman Ninja vs. Yakuza League anime film, sequel to the 2018 film Batman Ninja.
In the trailer we see Batman (Koichi Yamadera) and Robin immerse themselves in “a world unlike any other,” featuring alternate versions of Green Lantern, Wonder Woman, the Flash, and a group of Japanese gangsters known as… the Yakuza League.
Batman and Robin will find themselves facing off against this team of villains. If you enjoyed the first film, there is no doubt that you will be excited to see what this new one has to offer.
The film is directed by Junpei Mizusakiwho directed the first film, and Shinji TakagiThe screenplay is written by Kazuki Nakashimawith the character design of Takashi Okazaki and music of Yugo KannoThis is the same creative team that worked on the original film.
The first film “takes a journey through the centuries as Gorilla Grodd’s time machine transports many of Batman’s worst enemies to feudal Japan, along with the Dark Knight and some of his allies.
“The villains take the form of feudal lords ruling the divided land, with the Joker taking command of the warring factions. With his traditional high-tech weaponry running out almost immediately, Batman must rely on his intellect and his allies, including Catwoman and the extended Bat-Family, to restore order to the land and return to present-day Gotham City.”
Batman Ninja vs. Yakuza League It’s “coming soon” and I imagine it will be released sometime in 2024.
