Blumhouse has released the trailer for its upcoming horror thriller Fearwhich has as protagonists John Ciowho plays Curtis, who finds himself having to deal with a revolutionary new home device with artificial intelligence that goes haywire.
In the film, Curtis and his family are selected to test a revolutionary new home device: a digital family assistant called AIA. Taking the smart home to the next level, once the unit and all of its sensors and cameras are installed in their home, AIA seems capable of doing it all.
“He learns the family’s behaviors and begins to anticipate their needs. And he can make sure that nothing, and no one, gets in his way.”
This looks like a good movie with an interesting twist. While the evil AI is the focus of the story, there’s something more going on, something a little more sinister.
The film also stars Katherine Waterston, Havana Rose Liu, Lukita Maxwell, Ashley Romans, Greg Hill, Riki Lindhome, Wyatt Lindner, Isaac Bae, Todd WaringAND David Dastmalchianwith Keith Carradinewatch the new trailer.
Fear It was written and directed by Chris Weitz (About a boy AND The Twilight Saga: New Moon), and is produced by Blumhouse Jason Blum AND Andrew Miano.
Fear will be released in theaters on August 30th.
