THE BOOK OF BOBA FETTS star Temuera Morrison continues to push Lucasfilm for a second season

The Book of Boba Fett had a lot of potential and should have been a great Star Wars series, but ultimately, it ended up being a pretty mediocre series. The creative team dropped the ball, and since the first season has ended, there has been no official word on whether it will get a second season.

Well, the star of the series Temuera Morrison recently stated that he is still trying to convince Lucasfilm to make a second season, but that seems unlikely to happen.

During a recent convention appearance, a fan asked Morrison about working with actress Fennec Shand Ming Na Wen and shared his hope that he would continue the series with her.

She said: “Both she and I wanted to work hard in the hope that they could continue [and] do a 2 and a 3 and a 4 and a 5 and a 6 and a 7,” the actor revealed. “I tried to push them in that direction too. It needs more pushing, but still…”

I would be surprised if Lucasfilm made another season of The Book of Boba Fettbut there’s so much going on right now, so many projects in development, that another season of the series wouldn’t make much sense.

Morrison has previously said how grateful he is to play this classic Star Wars character, and also said that, looking back on the series, there are a few things he would change.

He said: “Now that I look back on it, I don’t know, it’s just one of those things. Things are great when you look back, but there are some things that I might have done a little differently. But again, just for me to work with Jon and be a part of the Mandalorian family. [has] It was really phenomenal.”

Morrison previously shared one of his criticisms about the way his character was handled, saying he spoke “way too much” in his role.

He explained, “I talk too much. In fact, at the beginning, I was trying to convey my lines to Ming-Na. [Wen]. I said, “Excuse me, director, I really think Ming-Na should say these lines, because I want to remain mysterious. I want to remain silent.”

“We had to fill in the gaps and provide some information [about Boba]but yes, I think I talked a little too much.”

If there ever is a second season, Morrison has already said what he would like to see, saying he would like to see Boba go on a journey to hunt down Mace Windu.

He explained: “As a young teenager, without a father and making his own way, he has some issues. I think it would be better to let him Mr. Jon Favreau I know we should have another series where I start looking for Mace.”

It would be a fun story to explore, but I don’t think we’ll ever see it come to fruition. Ultimately, I just hope that the creative team at Lucasfilm has learned some lessons from their mistakes in The Book of Boba Fett.
