Lionsgate has released a trailer for an upcoming sci-fi thriller titled The abandonmentwhich follows a US soldier who finds himself trapped in a mysterious cube after witnessing a blinding light coming from the battle of Iraq.
The soldier is armed only with his combat gear and his “situation escalates when the cube begins to shift with violent changes in gravity and the appearance of cryptic writing on the walls.
“When Miles begins to question his sanity, he finds a lifeline: a voice on the other end of his satellite phone that claims he is trapped in a similar space.
“As the walls close in, these two strangers must put their heads together if they are to outsmart their captors and solve this deadly riddle.”
The film was written and directed by the director and writer Jason Satterlundand stars Jonathan rosenthal, tamara perryAND Regis Terence.
It seems like the director is trying to tell an interesting and engaging story with a super low budget, as the film is mostly set in one location. The film will definitely include some interesting twists in the story.
